Description:

Iranian truffle:

Donbalan (truffle) is an expensive and rare edible mushroom. The highest consumption of Dunblane is in restaurants, food industries, preparing various sauces and aromatic oils, as well as pharmaceuticals. The famous French chef, Jean Antelme Brilla-Savarin, has dubbed Denblan the kitchen diamond.

Iranian truffle harvest season:

Danblan mushrooms are harvested in early spring and mid-winter.

Size and types of Iranian truffle:

The two black and white varieties of this fungus are the most expensive underground fungi. Dunblane, which grows to a depth of about 30 cm near the roots of plants, has a potato-like shape and ranges in size from a hazelnut to an orange. The largest mushroom of Danblan Yamchi weighing 3400 grams was harvested in 2010 at the Yamchi Festival.

Place of planting and production of truffles in Iran:

Azerbaijan and Ardabil provinces, Mako heights and Chaldoran plain, Marand, Jolfa, Arasbaran and Yamchi section, Danblan Koohi Khoy, Dasht-e Moghan, Poldasht, Zanjan province and Tarom and Khodabandeh regions are the main habitats of Black Mountain Danblan in Iran. In addition, various mushrooms can be harvested in some other regions of Iran during the rainy season, the main of which are Fars province, Zardkooh Chaharmahal Bakhtiari, Hormozgan province and Yasuj.

Types of export packaging of Iranian truffle:

First-class mushrooms are packed in smaller packages in plastic containers and placed in the refrigerator immediately after harvest to be transported to the point of sale. Modified atmosphere is also used in mushroom packaging. By covering the mushrooms with cellophane in the packages. Because if there is an atmosphere like air in the packed container, the risk of bacterial spot disease increases and the taste and smell of the fungus changes. The most common commercial packaging is perforated and perforated PVC. In the layer without holes, the prevalence of disease and reduction of fungal quality is less compared to packaging with perforated plastic, and therefore this packaging is more recommended.

How to send Iranian truffle for export:

Since truffles have low shelf life and high vulnerability during transportation, air transportation is a good choice for their export.
