About Khasouei dates
Dates are a monocotyledonous and tropical plants in the genus of palms whose fruit is edible and has a hard core and thin skin and sweet taste that hangs in the form of a large cluster of branches and its leaves are large. Palm height up to 10 reaches 20 meters or more. Date or Date palm have been a popular food among middle eastern for many years. This vastly cultivated plant comes in form of cluster with a variety in color from pitch black to light brown. Khasouei dates are a special type of date that grows in the foothills. That is why these dates are mainly in cities that are located in the foothills of the Zagros, such as: Shahr-e Jam, Assaluyeh, Firoozabad, Qirokazrun, Kangan, Farashband and some others. Although this type of date is known as a rare species in other regions. These dates are known as the best and highest quality dates of Bushehr province.
